Shelter Island Wedding in San Diego

On March 28, 2015 I had the honor and pleasure to shoot a gorgeous bayside wedding in San Diego. Katie and Brian tied the knot at the Kona Kai Resort on Shelter Island. The bride and groom both got ready at the glamorous hotel, and then tied the knot on the private beach overlooking the bay full of boats. Later in the evening they had their reception in one of the main ballrooms of the hotel. The bride surprised the groom with a snowboarding groomsmen cake! The bride and groom shared a private moment together as a vintage car drove them down to Sunset Cliffs to take some photos directly after their ceremony. The sunset couldn’t have been more perfect. We got to the cliffs right as the sky was turning pink and orange, making for the most breathtaking photos. The night before the wedding, the couple invited me to their rehearsal dinner, where I got to know the wedding party and family members a little better. The Witt’s threw such a fun rehearsal dinner at a popular restaurant downtown. They had rented the basement out at the Parq restaurant in the heart of the Gaslamp. The day was so relaxing and beautiful, just as you would picture a San Diego day to be. Such a quant very tight group of friends and family made Mr. + Mrs. Witt’s wedding day just perfect!

The Watson Wedding in Frisco Texas

Sweet couple alert!! Ryann and Ben tied the knot on June 13, 2015 in Frisco Texas. The Heritage Museum right next door to Babe’s Chicken in Frisco Texas is such a quant, adorable spot to have a wedding. The original antique church with a steeple gives the feel of the olden days. It has a sense of simplicity that not a lot of new wedding venues can replicate. With the original school house, and wooden cabins that surround the property, you don’t feel as though you are in the middle of a big city but back to simpler times. The Watson’s day was perfect. Ryann and her bridesmaids got ready at the couple’s apartment while the guys started setting up the reception area and had some beers while getting ready at the museum. I Love when a couple wants to do a first look. If you closely examine the photos you can get a taste of the bride’s excitement when she saw Ben for the first time on her wedding day. She’s so in shock and it’s adorable. The best part about this day is that it wasn’t rushed. Most weddings seem so stressful and rushed and the Watson wedding was the perfect amount of time. The one thing that was missing this day is the couple’s dog Griffey. Griffey made an appearance at the engagement shoot at Arbor Hills in Plano but he couldn’t attend the wedding because he’d be after the cakes. At the end of the night, Ryann’s mom told my assistant and I to take all the center piece flowers because they were going to throw them away! That was a first! For about 2 weeks my house was full of the Watson wedding flowers and it was so lovely. Although the bride was feeling a little under the weather, everyone was all smiles and ready for the big party! Congrats to the happy couple! -Jenny1Z2A3862-2

Travis + Mollie Sheridan Poetry Springs, Texas

What a gorgeous wedding with wonderful genuine people! I fell in love with Mollie and Travis after our engagement shoot and I was so excited to be behind the camera on their wedding day! The couple tied the knot at Poetry Springs Event Center in Terrell Texas. It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day! A little snow remained on the ground after 2 days of random Texas snow the day before their wedding! The sun was shining and the smiles were even brighter on this perfect day! Congrats to the very happy coupl4K0A5020
